Accenture Finally Acquires Gekko

Accenture had announced its intentionOpens a new window to acquire the French Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Service Company Gekko and finally, the company announced that it has completed the acquisitionOpens a new window .

The acquisition has bolstered Accenture’s position in Cloud and Artificial Intelligence along with expansion in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands to deliver support to enterprise migrations and development on cloud platforms.

The acquisition brought Gekko’s more than 100 trained cloud professionals, 100 AWS certifications, and a deep relationship with AWS under Accenture’s roof, adding to Accenture’s 8,000 AWS-trained professionals who hold over 5,500 AWS certifications globally.

The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. “Aligned with our development strategy, the acquisition of Gekko would be another significant addition because it would give clients more support for public cloud options. Gekko would also be a major opportunity to accelerate our growth strategy in France,” Olivier Girard, Accenture’s Geographic Unit managing director for France and Benelux had said when the company first shared intentions of buying the company.

Partnerize expands to Brand Compliance Solutions with BrandVerity’s Acquisition

CloudBolt Acquires SovLabs for Hybrid Cloud Simplification
