Happy Fourth of July! If you’re among those organizations looking to bring in a fleet of shiny new PCs to make your staff more productive, today’s the time to grab a good deal. The demand for PCs is going through a slump lately, so the best vendors in the market are offering the best deals, and it would be wise to grab a good one as long as the offers last! Here are some of the best deals from PC vendors on Independence Day.

According to IDC, global PC shipments could declineOpens a new window as much as 8.2% this year, thanks to the Ukraine-Russia war and accompanying global sanctions that have given rise to never-seen-before supply chain disruptions. Yet, the demand for PCs will remain robust and it is expected that by the end of the year, 321.2 million units will be sold compared to 267 million units in 2019.

Though rising inflation could stifle the demand for new PCs in the calendar year, businesses will continue to refresh PC models to make their workers more productive, keeping the overall demand stable in the process. According to research by Canalys, while laptop sales fell 6%, shipments of desktop computers rose 13% during the first quarter of 2022.

“Enterprises are more and more willing to upgrade devices quickly because they’re seeing they’re an integral tool to their employee’s day-to-day life, especially in a hybrid work environment,” said Canalys Research Analyst Brian Lynch to TechNewsWorldOpens a new window . “We have strong signals that commercial demand will last well through 2022 and into the coming years.”

“We expect commercial lifespans to shrink for the foreseeable future. We expect strong performance in the PC industry as a whole, but in the commercial segment in particular well through 2025,” he added.
