Identity solutions provider HID Global has announced a partnership with Keyfactor, the secure digital identity management solutions provider. The partnership will enhance the way organizations secure data and protect privacy.

Digital certificates, the electronic document used to prove the ownership of a public key, are used as an elementary security layer within IT and PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) frameworks. Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) or Transport Layer Security (TLS) certificates help establish an encrypted connection between a user’s computer and a website or server to ensure data authenticity, privacy and security. As cybercrime and security attacks continue rising, organizations are compelled to adopt digital certificates to prevent downtime due to certificate exploitation or system misconfiguration, and strengthen their overall security posture.
