HPE’s return-to-work solutions combine Aruba’s AI-based networking with its edge infrastructure to deliver five benefits to organizations looking to bring back the workforce.

Ahead of the 2020 edition of Discover, HPE has introduced five new solutions for organizations looking to reopen offices and resume work.

The launch of these return-to-work solutions by HPE comes a day before the first-ever virtual HPE Discover, the company’s annual tech showcase event.

While it’s true that a significant portion of the workforce is not looking forward to a return to the office, as lockdowns relax, organizations have begun reinstating office operations with 82% expected to be backOpens a new window in the workplace over the 12 to 18 months.

A reportOpens a new window by PwC states 47% of employees who were forced to stop working or work remotely say safety measures like wearing masks or reconfiguring layouts to promote physical distancing will make them more comfortable returning to the office.

HPE’s return-to-work solutions are part of its Intelligent Workplace suite of services developed to help organizations in their digital transformation journey. These solutions will feature HPE ProLiant servers for the edge, Aruba AI-powered network infrastructure, HPE EdgeLine Converged Edge Systems and technologies from HPE’s partner ecosystem.

HPE will deliver and manage these solutions through its Pointnext Technology Services.

Check out the benefits below:

  1. Touchless Entry: This is achieved through facial recognition, multi-factor access-control, and identity verification which eliminates the need for touching door handles at multiple entry/exit points.
  2. Fever Detection: ML-powered video analytics on footage captured through thermal cameras comes into play here to detect any variations in body temperature, which is one of the major symptoms of COVID-19.
  3. Social Distance Tracing and Tracking: The terminology of social distancing came into existence only recently, adequately covered across the media, which may still be disregarded. HPE’s bluetooth-enabled devices track employees for contact tracing purposes and alert them if they get too close for extended periods.
  4. Workplace Alerts and Information Sharing: An office/workplace can be substantially large in size, which can become impossible to track. With workplace alerts, employees can have the convenience of getting location-specific information with respect to any updates in real-time.
  5. Augmented Reality and Visual Remote Guidance: Digitally-enabled 3D AR can act as a bridge between on-site and still telecommuting employees. Workers can remotely identify any visual problem and offer guidance to resolve it.
