Fivetran Bags $100M in Series C

Data automation company FivetranOpens a new window has joined the unicorn club with its latest Series C funding of $100 million, bringing its valuation to $1.2 billion. The funding was co-led by General Catalyst and Andreessen Horowitz along with existing investors. Fivetran has ridden the wave of cloud migrations since the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated remote work globally, accelerating demand for the kind of automated cloud data migrations software they provide.

Prisma Raises $12M for Database Tools

Developer favourite PrismaOpens a new window announced that the company had raised $12 million in Series A funding led by Amplify Partners. They will continue building the next generation of database tools as well as launch Prisma 2.0, with the aim of ‘making databases easier for application developers with an open-source database tool-kit’.

Commvault and Microsoft Join Hands to Deliver SaaS and Cloud Technology
