New Warner Bros. Division Appoints Tricia Melton as CMO

Tricia Melton, former SVP of marketing, brand, creative, and communications at the Disney-owned cable network – Freeform, becomes chief marketing officer of new Warner Bros.Opens a new window division for the kids, young adults, and classics segment. She will report to former Freeform president, Tom Ascheim, who is joining the company as president of global kids, young adults, and classics on June 15.

In the new role, Melton will oversee global marketing and brand strategy to shape the messaging and outreach for the unit which houses Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Boomerang as well as Warner Bros. Animation for TV and Turner Classic Movies (TCM).

VMware Appoints Carol Carpenter as Chief Marketing Officer

As CMO, Carpenter will lead all aspects of the Global Marketing organization, which includes Corporate Marketing, Partner, Segment, and Field Marketing.

Carpenter comes over from 3.5 years as vice president, product marketing at Google Cloud, where she was part of the transformation of Google Cloud, crafting the brand positioning and campaign playbooks, enabling sales and the shift from products to solutions in its go-to-market.

Finastra appoints Margaret Franco as Chief Marketing Officer

She will be responsible for leading the global marketing organization, including corporate communications, brand, digital, solutions, and field and partner marketing.

Merkle RMG Appoints Phil Yamamoto as President

Cavai Unveils Senior Key Hires

CavaiOpens a new window , the conversational advertising platform, is expanding the European team with key hires, with the €1.5 million investment from Norwegian state-owned investment company Investinor. It has allowed the company to expand across Europe, starting with an office in Amsterdam and four key hires – Sophie Gunyon, Rogier Lammers, Gabrielle D’Mello, and Mikael Englund.

Sophie Gunyon joins as sales director, U.K., with the remit to increase revenue across all UK Media Agencies, working with in-house trading desks such as Xaxis and Amnet to drive understanding and uptake of Conversational Advertising.

As the commercial director, central Europe, Rogier Lammers will be responsible for the commercial business of Cavai across Central Europe; from managing current contracts to generating new business and partnerships.

Gabrielle D’Mello joins as the first conversation designer in the U.K., where her role will be to provide creative brainstorming of the client briefs to deliver maximum engagement and interaction of the ad and to also provide design and copy-writing of the conversational ads in the U.K.

Director of growth – Mikael Englund, has held senior commercial roles at Widespace (Deloitte Fast 50 Europe winner) and recently at Unruly. Mikael will be tasked with establishing the Swedish market and then driving global revenue growth and new market launches.

Viamedia Names John Piccone President of New Division
