The integration is expected to make it easier for users to incorporate data from the social media management solutions provider into Tableau, thus making it possible for businesses to make more data-driven decisions.

The Key Driver Behind the Integration

Sprout Social provides social data to its customers across campaign effectiveness, audience insights, brand performance, and industry trends. The new integration with Tableau comes with Sprout Social Tableau Business Intelligence (BI) Connector, with which users can combine social data with other business data streams to gain a more robust understanding of their customers and brand performance. Users can further generate custom dashboards with the visuals and metrics they need. This kind of customization and access can be expected to make it easier for users to share and act on the most valuable data.

Talking about the integration, Ryan Barretto, president, Sprout Social, said, “The Tableau platform is known for taking any kind of data from any system and turning it into actionable insights with speed and ease. And, with Sprout’s integration, this now includes social data. Together, we are providing decision makers with a unified source of truth that allows them to more easily leverage powerful social data and insights to build their strategy. In an increasingly crowded and constantly changing market, this is how customers can compete to win.”

Brian Matsubara, vice president, Global Technology Partnerships, Tableau at Salesforce, said, “We’re thrilled to strengthen our partnership with Sprout Social and help customers succeed by unlocking actionable insights from their social data.”
