Workday Inc., an enterprise cloud application provider for finance and human resources, announced has made Workday Help and Workday Journeys o Workday People Experience, a machine learning-driven employee experienceOpens a new window provider.

Workday Help is a chatbot-powered application for HR knowledge and case management that responds to frequently asked questions. When it cannot, it guides employees to HR personnel to have their queries answered. HR can keep adding information to the documentation to help the tool answer a broader range of questions based on their interaction with employees.

Workday Journeys, a machine-learning powered platform, is designed to create personalized workflows that guide people through transitions and critical moments. HR managers can apply a low-code approach to curate these interactions using employee data from Workday and other apps. Workday Journeys finds applications in areas of onboarding, work transfer, safety and wellness, and diversity and inclusion, among others.

WorkdayOpens a new window also announced Workday People Analytics, an augmented analysis application to help HR identify trends in the workforce and opportunities to develop or enhance it. The tool may make it easier to identify gaps in pay, skills, and talent, the causes of attrition, and the effectiveness of a learning program, among others. Insights will be delivered in an easy-to-understand story form, requiring little analytics training on HR’s part.

Workday customers can buy these apps to develop strategies to return to the workplace and address recent issues that have been in the news – such as diversity in the workplace.

Workday People Experience was launched in October 2019 and has now been made available for purchase. The platform can be accessed on the web and smartphones.

The platform uses artificial intelligence to help users get specific feedback, suggestions, and assistance in their journeys. Workday People Experience leverages insights on the position of an employee, most-used roles, longevity, and more in Workday to provide the knowledge they need and the activities they need to do. It has been designed to encourage responsive self-service, enabling workers to get quick answers – from everywhere, at any time – while supporting teams in HR operations to concentrate on more strategic tasks.

Solutions similar to Workday People Experience include SuccessFactors Human Experience Management (HXM) platform and ServiceNow, but each caters to a different range of experiences.

Workday People Analytics is not the first of its kind, but when integrated with the Workday HCM, it can pick up on critical data to help HR plan and strategize for the workforce better. Workday Journeys looks particularly promising, giving employees a high-tech and high-touch experience, when it matters, in the workplace and through their journey in the organization.
