The PE firm is also the proud corporate parent to Sophos, a leader in next-gen cybersecurity. The move will allow Exostar to augment its position in the enterprise software space with their business transaction, risk, collaboration, information, and identity management products. It will also help Exostar in expediting business expansion activities while boosting growth in their client base. The existing 150,000 clients that rely on Exostar’s cloud-based platform are from the aerospace and defense sector, to life sciences and healthcare. A spokesperson for Thoma Bravo deemed the deal to be contingent upon closing conditions and regulatory approvals while the actual terms of the acquisition of the Virginia-based Exostar remain undisclosed.
